これは、アメリカ合衆国の旗の一覧であり、アメリカ合衆国の旗の変遷と、政府機関の旗など、アメリカ合衆国内で使用されている他の旗について説明しています。大使館や船舶用の個別の旗もあります。

1818年以来、各州の加盟翌年の7月4日に、各州の星が国旗に追加されるようになった。複数の州が加盟した年には、それに対応する数の星が国旗に追加される。この変更は、1777年以来の国旗の改定で行われた唯一の変更であるが、1795年と1818年の変更では、縞の数がそれぞれ15に増え、その後13に戻された。1912年以前には星の正確なパターンが指定されていなかったため、歴史的な米国の国旗の多く（以下に示す）では星の配置が異なっている。^[1]

米国連邦政府の多くの機関、部局、事務所には、独自の旗、標章、または標準があります。米国の伝統的な旗章学に従い、これらは通常、空白の不透明な背景に機関の部局の印章で構成されていますが、常にそうであるとは限りません。

米国の 州、準州、連邦区の旗は、さまざまな地域的影響と地元の歴史、そして異なるスタイルとデザインの原則を示しています。それでも、ほとんどの州の旗は、一般的にさまざまな青の色合いの単色の背景に州の紋章を重ねた同じデザインパターンを共有しており、これは旗章学者からの批判の種となっています。

最新の州旗はミネソタ州の旗（2024年5月11日）であり、最新の領土旗は北マリアナ諸島の旗（1985年7月1日）です。

現代のアメリカの州旗は、1893年にイリノイ州シカゴで開催された世界コロンビアン博覧会で各州が独自のシンボルを持つことを望んだ1890年代に遡ります。アメリカの州旗のほとんどは、1893年から第一次世界大戦の間にデザインされ、採用されました。^[3]

北米旗章学協会による2001年の調査によると、ニューメキシコ州の旗は米国の州、米国領土、カナダの州の中で最もデザインが優れているが、ジョージア州の州旗は最悪のデザインと評価された。^[4]（ジョージア州は2003年に新しい旗を採用した。ネブラスカ州の州旗はデザインが2番目に悪いと評価され、現在も使用されている。）
