国際ベストドレッサー殿堂リストは、当時のアメリカのファッションの評判を高めるために、ファッショニスタのエレノア・ランバートによって1940年に創設されました。ランバートが死去する1年前の2002年に「ヴァニティ・フェア」誌の4人の友人にリストの責任を託して以来、現在はアメリカの雑誌ヴァニティ・フェアがリストを管理しています。^[1]
