シータ・アラエ（ラテン語表記はθ Arae）は、アラ座の恒星のバイエル名である。見かけの等級は+3.67 [ 2 ]で、肉眼で見えるほど明るい。年間視差は4.01 mas [1]であり、シータ・アラエは地球から 810光年（250パーセク）離れている。
これはB2 Ibの恒星分類を持つ超巨星です。 [3]質量は太陽の約9倍[6] 、半径は太陽の20倍以上[7]です。この恒星の外層大気の有効温度は17,231 Kで[7]、太陽の表面よりもはるかに高温です。この温度で、この恒星はB型恒星の特徴的な青白色の色合いで輝きます。[11]
