エフゲニー・マロレトカ

エフゲニー・コンスタンティノヴィチ・マロレトカ(ウクライナ語: Євген Костянтинович Малолєтка 、ローマ字表記:  Yevhen Kostiantynovych Malolietka、ロシア語: Евгений Константинович Малолетка ; 1987 年 3 月 1 日生まれ）は、ウクライナのジャーナリスト、写真家です。彼はロシアによるウクライナ侵攻中のマリウポリ包囲を取材し、特に産院爆破事件で負傷した女性の写真を撮影し、その写真が世界最優秀報道写真賞を受賞した。^{[ 1 ] [ 2 ]} 2023年、彼は2つのピューリッツァー賞を受賞した。1つは公共サービス部門で、ムスティスラフ・チェルノフ、ヴァシリサ・ステパネンコ、ロリ・ヒナントと共同受賞。もう1つは速報写真部門で、 AP通信チームの一員としてウクライナ戦争の報道で、フェリペ・ダナ、エミリオ・モレナッティ、ロドリゴ・アブド、ナリマン・エル・モフティ、ヴァディム・ギルダ、ベルナール・アルマンゲと共同受賞した。^{[ 3 ]}

In February and March 2022, during the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Associated Press staff member Mstyslav Chernov, videoproducer Vasilisa Stepanenko, and Maloletka, freelancers working for AP, stayed in Mariupol, which was encircled by the Russian troops, under siege, and extensively bombed, whereas the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Defense Ministry claimed that Russia only targets military installations. Chernov, Maloletka, and Stepanenko were among the few journalists, and, according to the AP, the only international journalists in Mariupol during that period, and their photographs were extensively used by Western media to cover the situation.^[8][9] According to Chernov, on 11 March they were in a hospital taking photos when they were taken of the city with the assistance of Ukrainian soldiers. They managed to escape from Mariupol unharmed.^[10]
