異なるセプットと綴り
『四人の師の年代記』と『オドゥガンとオヒーリンの地誌詩』では、この名前はÓ Goirmleadhaighと綴られている。『ロッホ・ケーの年代記』ではÓ GormshuilとÓ Gormshuilighと記されている。1871年に執筆した編集者（ウィリアム・ヘネシー）は、後者が当時英語化されてO'Gormoolyになったと述べているが、今日ではGormleyが一般的である。この名前は「青い槍兵」を意味する。
