Perry, Arkansas

Perry is a town in Perry County, Arkansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, Perry had a population of 262.^[4] It is part of the Little Rock–North Little Rock–ConwayMetropolitan Statistical Area.

Perry is located at 35°2′46″N92°47′43″W / 35.04611°N 92.79528°W / 35.04611; -92.79528 (35.046137, -92.795373).^[5]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.1 km² (0.4 mi²), all land.

As of the census^[7] of 2000, there were 314 people, 119 households, and 89 families residing in the town. The population density was 288.7/km² (742.3/mi²). There were 124 housing units at an average density of 114.0/km² (293.1/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.13% White, 0.32% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 0.32% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 1.59% from two or more races. 0.96% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 119 households, out of which 37.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.7% were married couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.2% were non-families. 24.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.64 and the average family size was 3.13.

In the town, the population was spread out, with 26.4% under the age of 18, 9.9% from 18 to 24, 30.9% from 25 to 44, 21.0% from 45 to 64, and 11.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 91.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.8 males.
