クリスマス映画
クリスマスの物語の多くは長編映画やテレビ特別番組に翻案され、テレビで何度も放送され、再放送されている。1980年代にホームビデオが普及して以来、これらの映画は毎年ホリデーショッピングシーズンに販売され、再販されている。ホールマークやライフタイムなど、多くのネットワーク、スタジオ、制作会社が毎年12月頃に新しいクリスマスをテーマにした映画を制作し、公開しているが、それらはすべて同様のプロットとテーマのさまざまなバリエーションである。[1] [2] [3] [4]
「これはクリスマス映画か？」という論争の火種となった映画の一つが、オリジナルの『ダイ・ハード』 （1988年）である。このブルース・ウィルス主演のアクション映画を、アクションのジャンル設定と絡めた正真正銘の「クリスマス映画」と見るか、単にクリスマスの時期に設定された映画と見るかという議論が交わされている。[5] [6] [7]
