インドは、8月18日から9月2日までインドネシアのジャカルタとパレンバンで開催された2018年アジア競技大会に出場した。開会式の旗手はニーラジ・チョプラ、閉会式の旗手は ラニ・ランパルが務めた。
インドは、8年前に中国広州で開催 された2010年アジア競技大会で達成した過去最高のメダル獲得数を上回った。
