Neoscona chrysanthusiはブータン、インド、パキスタン原産のクモの一種である。 [1] [2]種小名はオランダのクモ学者であるFather Chrysanthusに敬意を表して付けられたもので、「著者らが彼に対して抱いている高い尊敬の念の表れ」である。 [3]
