アシディチオバシラス目は、アシディチオバチルス綱に属する細菌の目であり、アシディチオバチルス属とテルミチオバチルス属から構成される。^{[1]もともと、両属とも}チオバチルス属に含まれていたが、ベータプロテオバクテリアに属する基準種とは関連がない。^[2]
