プレウロドンテ属は、空気呼吸する陸生の巻貝の属であり、プレウロドン科プレウロドン亜科に属する陸生の有肺性腹足類軟体動物である。 [2]
Dentellaria属Schumacher, 1817はVera (2008) [3]によってPleurodonteの同義語とみなされているが、Schileyko (2006) [4]はDentellariaを別の属と みなした。
