Windows Essential Business Server 2008 [4] (コード名Centro ) [4]は、マイクロソフトの中規模企業 (最大 300 ユーザーおよび/またはデバイス) 向けのサーバー製品でした。 [5] 2008 年 9 月 15 日に製造ラインにリリースされ[6]、2008 年 11 月 12 日に正式に発売されました。[1] 2010 年 6 月 30 日に販売が中止されました。[7]
概要
Windows Server 2008コードベースから構築されており、Standard と Premium の 2 つのエディションが用意されています。Standard エディションには、3 台のWindows Server 2008 x64 Standard Server と、その 3 台のサーバーに加えて、Microsoft Exchange 2007、Microsoft System Center Essentials、Microsoft Forefront Security for Exchange Server、およびForefront Threat Management Gateway (Medium Business Edition) が含まれています。Premium エディションには、別のWindows Server 2008 Standard Edition とMicrosoft SQL Server 2008 Standard データベース ソフトウェア が追加されています。

2010年6月30日から2010年12月31日まで、マイクロソフトはWindows Server 2008 Standard、System Center Essentials 2007、Exchange Server 2007のスタンドアロン製品を現在のEssential Business Serverの顧客に無料で提供しました（税金と配送料は適用されます）。[7]
