Alex Rüdinger (born November 18, 1991) is an American musician who has been the drummer of heavy metal band Trivium since 2025. He is also a member of the bands Ordinance, Conquering Dystopia, and Light the Torch. Rüdinger is also a former drummer for Good Tiger, The Faceless, The HAARP Machine and Threat Signal.
Rüdinger performed, either as a session or touring member for metal bands such as 7 Horns 7 Eyes, Revocation, Cognizance, Monuments, Evan Brewer, Whitechapel, Nonvector, and Intronaut.
Rüdinger was born November 18, 1991, in Frederick, Maryland. He began playing drums at the age of 13 and he launched his YouTube channel in 2006, which features his drumming videos and work.[1][2][3]
Since 2009, Rüdinger has been a member of progressive death metal band Ordinance, playing drums on the albums Internal Monologues in 2011 and The Ides of March in 2016.
In 2010, Rüdinger became the drummer for Threat Signal, playing drums on their self-titled album Threat Signal in 2011. In April 2012, Alex Rüdinger left the band;[4]
Rüdinger was a member of The HAARP Machine from 2012 to 2013.
In January 2013, Rüdinger joined The Faceless as their new drummer, replacing Lyle Cooper.[5] On October 20, 2014, Rüdinger announced that he was leaving the band to pursue other projects.[6]
In 2013, Rüdinger became the drummer for Conquering Dystopia.[7] He appeared on their debut and self-titled album Conquering Dystopia in 2014.[8]

To clear the air on a few details, The Faceless has decided to part ways with drummer Lyle Cooper due to a growing difference in the level of commitment to the project. We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors and we're sure he'll continue to be successful with music. Having said that, we are very excited to announce that Alex Rudinger is our new full time drummer. We just played our first 3 shows with him in Mexico and what he brings to the band both musically and personally, is simply astounding.
