マーガレット・クレイトン

マーガレット・S・クレイトンは、アメリカの歴史家、作家であり、メイン州ベイツ大学の名誉教授です。

彼女は多くの記事、エッセイ、数々の受賞歴のある本の著者であり、その中には『Rites and Passages: The Experience of American Whaling, 1830-1870』（1995年）、『The Colors of Courage: Gettysburg's Forgotten History: Immigrants, Women, And African Americans in the Civil War's Defining Battle』（2005年）、^{[1] 『} The Electrifying Fall of Rainbow City: Spectacle and Assassination at the 1901 World's Fair』（2016年）、^{[2]があり、}リサ・ノーリングと共著した『Iron Men, Wooden Women: Gender and Seafaring in the Atlantic World, 1700-1920』（1996年）がある。^[3]^[4]

クレイトンはベイツ大学でアメリカ南北戦争、女性とジェンダーの歴史、歴史手法に関する講座を教えた。さらに、ボストン・レッドソックスの文化史に関する講座も教えた。^[5]
